Emily has a fabulous tutorial for you today! Follow her step by step tutorial to create your very own Lucky Red envelopes ready for the Chinese New Year!
Step 1: Cut a piece of red paper to 6×6 inch
Step 2: Align one of the corner on Crafter’s Companion’s Ultimate Tool, and score at line B. Rotate the paper to the opposite corner (180 degree) and score at line B again.
Step 3: Rotate the paper to either of the adjacent corners (90 degree) and score at line D. Rotate the paper to the opposite corner (180 degree) and score at line D again.
Step 4: Trim the 4 excess corners.
Step 5: Fold in the 2 flaps that have longer edge. Draw a pencil line between the spots where those two flaps meet. Cut it along the pencil line you just drew.
Step 6: Flip over to the front, and emboss your image in gold. I chose the lantern and “good luck” sentiment.
Step 7: Round the corner of the flaps with shorter edge.
Step 8: Adhere the 3 of flaps together. DO NOT adhere the top of the envelope.
