We have chosen complementary fabrics for this project, but feel free to select your own colour choices or even use up your old scraps!

You will need
- 27” x 17” of yellow fabric
- 13” x 10.5” of green fabric
- 13” x 10.5” of orange fabric
- 19.5” x 19.5” of white fabric
- 19.5” x 19.5” of grey fabric
- Toy stuffing
- Gemini Build-A-Block Bay Leaf die set
- Gemini die-cutting machine
- Gemini Sewing machine
- Co-ordinating thread
- Basic sewing kit
- Cut a backing panel measuring 16.5” x 16.5” from yellow fabric.
- Die-cut 16 medium petals
- Die-cut 32 medium comers
Cutting preparation
- Cut a backing panel measuring 16.5” x 16.5” from yellow fabric.
- Die-cut 16 medium petals
- Die-cut 32 medium comers
Step 1
Sew a medium corner right sides together to either side of a medium petal. Repeat this process 15 more times
Step 2
Now all your block pieces are sewn together, sew them into four rows of four blocks
Step 3
Sew all four rows right sides together lengthway
Step 4
Place the cushion front and backing panel right sides together and sew around all four edges leaving a 3” turning gap in one side.
Step 5
Turn the cushion cover through the turning gap left in Step 4. Fill the cushion with toy stuffing and close the turning gap in the seam by hand.
