Here at Crafter’s HQ, we absolutely love any excuse to get creative and celebrate all things crafty, and that’s exactly what we did at our C’mon Get Crafty party! From Friday 24th May to Sunday 26th May, we were running amazing events, fabulous discounts and giving away a variety of products, so it was a pretty exciting time at our Newton Aycliffe store.
If you missed out, don’t panic! We’ve got some more sensational events coming up that you can find out more about at the end of this post, but for now, take a look at what we got up to at C’mon Get Crafty.
Across the weekend, we welcomed over 500 crafting fans through our doors (the first person through the door each day won £50 to spend in store – how amazing is that?), with lots of familiar faces and plenty of new ones too. In fact, 22% of the people that came along were brand new to the store and Club Inspire! It was so lovely to meet everyone and show them what Crafter’s Companion is all about.
It’s no surprise that so many people popped in to see us because some of our top Facebook Live presenters hosted demonstrations, up close and personal! Leann Chivers gave a whole host of talks, but one of our favourites was her demonstration of the stunning Gemini FOILPRESS Monogram Dies. Debby Robinson also came along to host interactive workshops on the Wrap Dies and the Shaker Card Stamp and Dies, to name just a few! Our guests absolutely loved being able to get hands on with the products, learn all about how to use them and talk to our pros.
Another exciting highlight of the weekend was the exclusive Gemini Junior competition. We had managed to grab a lilac Gemini Junior and Caddy from the US, making this our only coloured Gemini in the whole of the UK, and we were giving it away to one lucky attendee! As you can imagine, everyone was so excited about this competition, but the lucky lady that managed to claim the prize was Sam MacDonald!
She was pleased as punch to be chosen, saying:
“I was just so excited to have won, it absolutely made my day!”
We can’t wait to see what she makes with her exclusive Gemini Junior and we hope that she loves using it.
Overall, it was a great weekend and we’re so pleased that everyone who came along enjoyed themselves. Our new Store Manager, Jai Moody, said:
“It was so exciting to be part of the C’mon Get Crafty event so soon after joining the Crafter’s Companion team. I got chance to meet a lot of our regular customers, greet some new faces and really get involved in the event. Our customers really enjoyed what we had available, from brilliant discounts and offers, to our delicious special menu in our coffee shop, The Crafty Cuppa. I can’t wait for our next store event!”
If you want to get excited about our next store events, just like Jai, you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks for our event announcements. If you simply can’t wait that long, you can take a look at our Stores page to see what’s happening in our shops across the rest of the month! We have some brilliant events lined up (including a wedding craft evening), so we definitely recommend that you keep checking back on our stores calendars and on social media for any announcements.
