Crafter’s Companion Gives Thanks

Crafter's Companion – 28/11/19

Happy Thanksgiving! We hope that you all have a wonderful day that’s filled with family, food and, most importantly, gratitude! We thought that today would be the perfect time of the year for you all to learn a bit more about the Crafter’s Companion staff and what makes us tick, so take a look through this blog post to find out what we’re grateful for.

Sara Davies, Creative Director and Founder

I’m thankful for my family and the constant support they give me, cuddles with my boys while we watch films and, on a material note, my Donna May drawstring makeup bag! It opens up fully so you don’t have to rummage around for things and it’s something I’m really thankful for, especially when I’m in a rush!

Craig Laird, TV Demonstrator

I am so grateful to Celine Dion for sharing her music and voice to all of us, and also to the great British public for helping her reach no.2 in the UK charts with her brand new album “Courage”. I’m also thankful to everyone in the USA for making her new album “Courage” go straight to number 1 in the Billboard charts (and number 1 in Canada).

Di Kinrade, Product Manager – Papercraft

I’m grateful for my two lovely sons. They make me feel immensely proud, and they’ve been my reason for living since the day they were born.

Colleen Tyler, Community Management Specialist

I am thankful for my little family, the happiness and joy we have and how their love inspires me!

Paul Kerton, Ecommerce and Systems Executive

I’m thankful for my Star Wars room and the ability to display my vintage Kenner Star Wars figure collection. It’s always being added to, and for that, I am grateful.

Olivia McHale, Digital Content Executive

There are so many things that I’m thankful for – it’s so hard to pick just one! I’d say that I’m most grateful for my two goddaughters who make me laugh with their dramatic diva ways and I’m grateful for people who put up their Christmas lights early. I love seeing them on a drive!

Ethan Burnett, Junior Marketing Executive

I’m grateful for the great outdoors. We’re lucky in the UK that we have some outstanding natural beauty all around us. Whether it’s the soaring white cliffs of the southern coast, the rolling Welsh mountains or the rugged Scottish peaks, we’ve got so much diversity around every corner. Being a photographer in the UK is brilliant, and nothing beats the west coast of Scotland. Every year I am thankful for being able to travel to such a beautiful place, to visit the glens, mountains, wildlife and seas that surround this area.

Chantel Gray, Creative & Publications Coordinator

I’m grateful for my beautiful son, Lucas. His love and energy has pulled me through some of my most difficult times. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

Jade Craggs, Digital Marketing Executive

I am thankful for the beautiful people in my life, peperamis and, of course, a good pint of beer!

Matthew Donnachie, Graphics and Video Editor

I’m grateful for the fact I was born in Britain. Really! I’m so proud to be British. I love the North East, I love our capital and big cities. There’s a political cloud over the country at the moment, but underneath all that is a beautiful nation on our little island! I’m also grateful for all the people working in hospitality over the festive season. They do a lot to make sure everyone has a lovely time!

Lisa Ambrose, US Soft Craft Design Team Coordinator

I am a mother of four and have seven grandchildren, so I am very thankful for my family who loves and supports me in everything I do, even with my CRAZY Crafts!

It’s so important to take time to reflect a little on the things that you’re grateful for in life – not only today, but every day! Who knows, you could even see some brilliant benefits in your mental health, physical health and more.
