Last minute crafting gift ideas for Mother’s Day

Crafter's Companion – 15/03/20

You haven’t picked up a gift for Mother’s Day yet? Don’t panic! Whether your mum is a crafting pro or a bit of a newbie, we’ve got a great selection of products on our site that would make the most perfect gift. Take a look through this post and see if there’s anything that takes your fancy!

A monthly craft kit

If your mum has been looking to explore the world of crafting, but doesn’t know where to start, she might love one of our monthly craft boxes! Each month, we release a new box for purchase and each one contains all the materials needed to create an assortment of cards. For some kits, you will need a die-cutting machine, so make sure you check that you buy a kit that’s appropriate – there’s plenty to choose from!

A set of TriBlend markers

If colouring is something that your mum or mother figure has been interested in, she would absolutely love a set of TriBlend markers. These pens feature three complementary shades in one, so adding depth and definition to a colouring project is made so simple. Pair up the markers with a fabulous colouring book and you’ve got a wonderful gift!

Pretty paper pads

We can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t love a selection of pretty paper pads to add to their stash. Who else is guilty of buying paper pads that are too nice and will probably never be used? It’s a thing that all papercrafters do, so beat your mum to it and choose her some gorgeous papers. We’ve got a massive selection, but we recommend the Sara Signature Garden of Love pad, which is packed full of pastels and pretty florals.

Magazines

Our magazines would make the perfect gift for a mum or mother figure who is already a bit of a keen crafter. Crafter’s Inspiration is packed full of papercraft ideas, previews of new products and includes a fantastic kit to help you create cohesive projects. Sew Inspired is the needlecraft sister to our papercraft magazine, so you can expect plenty of sewing and quilting projects, plus a kit! You could pick up these magazine as subscriptions or individual copies to complement a larger gift.

A collection of essentials

Why not build your very own craft kit? For a lovely lady who is interested in papercraft, pick up an adhesive, some scissors, some paper or card and a die set. For needlecrafters, choose a half metre of fabric, some thread, a rotary cutter and a cutting mat. And for budding artists, they’ll love a pack of watercolour card, some brushes, a couple of Spectrum Noir Water Reactive Inkpads and the Aqua Markers.

Gemini Mini

Our smallest and cutest addition to the Gemini family, the Gemini Mini, is a brilliant gift for die-cutting beginners. It’s manually-powered, so it can be taken on the go or used in classes, but it doesn’t compromise on cutting ability. It’s perfect for cutting teeny tiny dies or for pairing up with small embossing folders whilst not taking up any space in your craft room.

A needlecraft kit

We stock a great assortment of beginner’s needlecraft kits, including crochet, embroidery and quilting. Each of these kits contain absolutely everything you need to create gorgeous projects. Even if your mum or mother figure isn’t a beginner in needlecrafts and is a bit more of a pro, it can be a great idea to start back at the basics, and refresh on some of the ground-level skills.
