Craft your own 4th July party with pens and paper

We know you’re always looking to add a personal touch to your hosting without taking too much time away from all the other planning. So for this year’s 4th July, we’ve got a few simple makes to add small moments of joy to your party table. Some of them will need as little as pens and paper!
And although we’ve used red, white, and blue for our 4th July party at Crafter’s Companion HQ, you can use the exact same colour palette to cheer the USA and Great Britain through this summer’s sports extravaganzas - the Euros, Wimbledon, and the Olympics - as well!
Stars and stripes straws
Here’s a simple but effective way to jazz up your drinks. Simply cut a star out of your choice of coloured card along with two slits in the centre. Then slide onto a straw to make a fun topper.

Dessert spoons
This one’s super simple and great for the kids to help with. Just take a few colourful pens and get creative on your wooden spoons. Not only will you save yourself some post-party washing up, but it’s a thoughtful touch to your strawberries and cream.

Treat bags
This one’s super simple for any party, not just 4th July, and great for anyone on a budget. Choose your colour palette and start playing with different patterns, pictures and sentiments. Then drop in your favourite sweets and treats for your guests to take home as party bags.
