A while back you may have caught Sara's exciting video about her 'Kid Sister's' BIG news...and if you didn't catch it don't miss out. Here's the link to watch it back! We're really excited for Helen's show this weekend and have really been bitten by Up-Cycling bug! If you haven't had a look on The Decorating Centre Online blog...you can see ithere!
The shows will teach you all you need to know about the latest upcycling craze! See Helen use the fabulous Rust-Oleum paints and taking tired & worn out furniture and giving it a new lease of life! The shows will have everything for crafters just starting out or for well experienced DIY'ers! The Rust-Oleum paints that Helen will be demonstrating on Sunday come in 31 amazing shades that all leave a chalky finish. Also available are added glass and stin finish tins which don't even need a primer or undercoat...so you can get up-cycling straight away!
Helen has provided a step by step tutorial on how to create this fantastic up-cycled table using a flat pack table and some chalk paint - this will be going up next week on Sara's blog after you've seen it on the show!! A fun make to keep your little monsters busy this Summer! The chalk paint Helen used for Oliver's table converts surfaces into a usable magnetic chalkboard which washes clean with soap and water! How amazing! You could even do a whole wall in a play room if you wanted to! That would avoid any marker pen mishaps on your beautifully painted walls!
We're even so in love with painting pro Cooper...who always lends a helping hand around the shop! We doubt he'll be let loose in the Hochanda studios!
