Tutorial: Festive Frame Card

Last week I shared a tutorial for a card that featured my Butterfly Lullaby collection – today I’m sharing one featuring Festive Wonder! This card is really simple to make, and while I love the blue & white colour combination for winter you could do it in so many different ones to personalise it for your recipient!

Here’s how I put this together:
Step 1: Trim white card (I’m once again using Sheena’s Stamping card, because it’s so perfect for sturdy card bases!) to a 6 1/2″ square, matt & layer on to a 7″x7″ white card blank. Matt and layer another piece of white card to 6 2/8″ square.
Step 2: Emboss the white card using the Festive Frame embossing folder. Sponge some Distress Ink (Stormy Sky is perfect on this card, but you can use any colour that works with your colour scheme!) around the embossed area. Then affix it to the card front.
Step 3: Die-cut two Festive Flakes (one white, one blue mirri – but again there are so many colour options available!). Affix the outer white snowflake to card centre. Turn the outer blue snowflake once for a different position then adhere it. Finally, using Collall 3D glue gel, attach centre white snowflake.
Step 4: Attach a strip of four flat-backed pearls & ribbon bow to finish it off! How easy is that?! I designed this card thinking that it was definitely one you can make over and over again for Christmas! I’ll be back soon with more tutorials and inspiration using my new collection!
