Crafter’s Companion UK Supplies:
Directions: Step 1: From the Verity Rose CD, print out a sheet of Moonstruck Embellishments no. 4 onto light printable card. Step 2: Cut out one of the strips and score it at ¼” intervals using the Scoremaster scoreboard. Step 3: Concertina fold the scored strip . Step 4: Join the two ends together, using Collal Tacky Glue, creating a loop that looks like an old fashioned lampshade. Step 5: Press down on the top edge of the ‘lampshade’, gently forcing it to collapse inwards. This creates your basic rosette. Step 6: To keep it flat, add a small amount of Tacky glue to a small circle of card and adhere this to the back of the rosette. You will need to hold this in place for a short while until it dries, or you can weight it down. When completely dry, you can add your chosen sentiment, from the printed sheet to the centre of the rosette. As an alternative to using the printed sentiments, you could add buttons or gems to match your project. For this Owl House Tealight holder, I have made little clock faces for the centres of the rosettes. They are die-cut from kraft card, using the pocket watch from the Verity Rose Moonstruck metal die set, and stenciled through the die using a Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress ink pad. The watch winder has been snipped off to just leave the clock face. See the entire Verity Rose collection:
