Show your support and stitch your own handmade tribute with the Craft with Sara Crochet a Red Poppy Workshop.
In this workshop you will learn how to crochet a classic red poppy, the symbol for Remembrance Sunday, worn as a show of support for the Armed Forces community. Learn the basics of crochet and find out how to stitch a beautiful and meaningful fabric flower, to create your own wreaths, accessories and decorations to mark Remembrance Sunday.
During this live workshop, Sara Davies will guide you every step of the way as you get to grips with crochet. The session is paced to ensure everyone can work at their own speed - no need to rush! And as it’s interactive, you can ask questions as you go along, pick up hints and tips and have fun crafting along with a group of people!
If you’ve never tried crochet before, you can choose to receive a craft kit packed with crochet tools and yarn! Everything you need to make 3 beautiful crochet poppies straight away! And you can use the dies and tools to continue practising your new craft as much as you like - just add more yarn.
If you’re a more experienced crafter with your own tools and don’t need a craft kit - you can choose to just join the online class to craft along and have fun!
You will also receive a unique link to attend the online session, if it’s your first time attending a virtual event - don’t worry we’ve put together this handy guide. And because we know that practice makes perfect, you’ll be able to keep a recorded version of the session to rewind and rewatch at your own pace.
