We all love a sneak peek, don’t we? The quilting and sewing lovers among us will love today’s Watch Along Wednesday because we’re giving you a little look at the Hawaiian Applique Dies! These have already launched on HSN, but they’ll be hitting the website on May 5th, so if you haven’t seen them yet, check out the video. Be sure to join in the conversation and let us know what you think using the #WatchAlongWed hashtag!
In the video, you can watch as David uses the gorgeous Breadfruit die to create a four-pointed pattern, which he then uses to embellish a cushion cover. Take a look at how easy it is to create this design!
The idea behind these dies was to put a modern spin on the traditional technique of Hawaiian quilting and applique. The traditional technique features symmetrical applique motifs on quilts with the designs created by cutting folded fabric by hand. You can achieve the amazing designs from the traditional craft without having to touch a pair of fabric scissors!
With the Multi Media Dies in this range, you are able to cut multiple layers of fabric into accurate shapes, making them the perfect addition to a quilter or sewist’s stash. You can even use them to cut paper if you fancied a go at paper piecing.
There are four designs in the range for you to collect. We’ve already given you a full sneak peek at the Breadfruit design, so you’ll have to wait and see the rest!
