Watch Along Wednesday - written in the stars with the Zodiac Dies

Welcome back to another installment of Watch Along Wednesday! For this week’s post, we’re looking to the skies and in our birth charts. Astrology has become pretty popular over the last couple of years and the question “what’s you sign?” is often met with “do you mean my sun, moon or rising?” That’s why David is drawing on astrology for today’s #watchalongwed and demonstrating the Gemini Zodiac Dies.

Whether you’re a confident Aries, a gentle Virgo or an imaginative Aquarius, there’s a die for every single star sign, making them ideal for birthdays, Christenings or new baby cards! You could even pick up the whole range and put together your very own calendar design.

In today’s video, David Falcon uses the Cancer Dies to create a fun card design for a late June or early July recipient. It features gorgeous 3D flowers and floral paper, so it’s perfect for the summer. Have a watch of the video below!

In each Zodiac set, you’ll receive three dies – the main star sign image, the name of the sign and a word outline die. This means that you have the option to use the image or the word alone, or pair them up for the full effect. In astrology, each star sign also has an associated colour, like yellow for Gemini and aquamarine for Pisces, so you could take your projects one step further by incorporating them.

What makes these die sets even better is that they’re so easy to use! To cut the detailed shapes, all you need to do is position your favourite die with the cut side facing upwards on to a cutting mat. Then add your chosen paper or card on top, followed by another cutting mat. Roll this through your die-cutting machine and hey presto! You can also emboss with these dies by using an embossing mat in your die-cutting sandwich to provide less impact and restricting the die from cutting through the paper.
