Crafternoon tea inspiration - Afternoon Tea Week 2019

Happy Afternoon Tea Week, everyone! If you needed an excuse to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake, then this is it. While we know it’s an essential to enjoy a cuppa whilst crafting, it’s especially nice to share a pot with your friends or loved ones. Inspired by this week (August 12th – 18th) of all things tea, scones, cake and jam, we’ve put together this inspiration post to help you get into the swing of things.
Add a touch of tea time fun into your cardmaking projects with the Floral Tea Cups Layering Stamp and Die, or something from the Sara Signature Vintage Tea Party line, taking inspiration from the two cards that you can see above. We absolutely love the teetering stack of tea cups, as you can personalise the colours to make them your own!
If stamping is your thing, we’ve got plenty of tea and cake-themed stamps here at Crafter’s Companion! No stamp stash is complete without at least one foodie stamp, so we’ve got all kinds of images to choose from, like Strawberry Cupcakes, Macaroons and Teatime Cake. We all know how much you love a pop of bright colour here and there, and that’s something that you should definitely incorporate into your afternoon tea crafting! Just take a look at these Alice in Wonderland-style tea cups that have splashes of bright red details, drawing any eyes in to take a look. You definitely don’t need an excuse to add a dash of colour here and there.
Make sure you protect your surfaces from hot mugs and tea cups with some homemade coasters.
