Back to school is in full swing with little ones up and down the country returning for the start of the new school year. And while the end of the summer holidays is spent replenishing supplies for our kids, you can’t go wrong with making sure they can’t lose their notebooks.
That’s why we’ve created this fun and easy crafting guide for a personalized back-to-school notebook that you can get your kids involved in, perfect for everything from note taking to homework.
Here’s what you’ll need
- A4 notebook
- A4 sheet of card with chosen background (we went for pink dotty cardstock)
- A4 sheet of black card x 2
- White card
- Balloon stamp and die
- Tape pen
- Tacky glue
- Heart nesting die
- Foam pads
- Ink for letters
Step-by-step instructions
- Trim a sheet of black A4 card down to 8” x 11”
- Trim the cover cardstock (we used pink dotty) to 7 ¾” x 10 3/4”
- Use the tape pen to secure the pink dotty card to the black
- Trim a piece of white card to 5 1/4 ” x 4 1/4” then a piece of black about 2mm bigger to create a slight black border. Stick the white to the black using a tape pen.
- Secure using foam pads to the cover sheet.
- Die cut the hearts in 3 different sizes in black and white and stick down using foam pads.
- Using the balloon letters, stamp your name and die cut. Die cut again in black. Die cut the balloon strings in black.
- Use tacky glue to layer the stamped letters with the black to create a slight shadow to the left.
- Stick to the cover using foam pads then use tacky glue or a dotty tape pen to stick the balloon strings down.
- Use a tape pen to stick the cover sheet to the notebook!
