At last, 2021 is here and as we stand at the threshold of a shining new year, with 12 months of promise and possibility stretching out before us, it’s a great moment to make plans for the year ahead.
It’s also that time when many of us make our New Year’s resolutions, so this year why not choose something that will bring you happiness all year long – craft!
Here, at Crafter’s Companion we’re launching our New Year, New Craft campaign to introduce you to a new craft for every week throughout January!
So, if you’re a dedicated die-cutter but have always fancied trying your hand at sewing, a colourist with an eye for papercraft or an absolute beginner – this is your chance to take up a new craft.
We have so many new products launching throughout the year to keep you busy in your new hobby, and don’t forget Crafter’s TV has live shows all through the week with amazing tips, tricks and techniques!
We know it can be daunting to take up something new for the first time, so we thought we’d put our money where our mouth is and get some of the Crafter’s Companion team involved in New Year, New Craft!
Here are a few of our lovely team members who have chosen to take up a new craft as part of their New Year’s resolutions.
Jade, our Senior Digital Marketing Executive, has chosen to dip her toe into the world of art and colouring! This is such a popular craft area and it’s a great way to unwind and let your creativity shine – all you have to do is choose your colours and jump in!
Liam, External Broadcast Co-ordinator at Crafter’s Companion is going to give die-cutting a go and create some papercraft masterpieces this year! From greetings cards and invitations to frames and memory books, papercraft is a great way to add a personal touch and reach out to loved ones with a handmade creation that means so much more.
Kathleen, Content Executive at Crafter’s Companion has decided to take up a needle and get into embroidery this year. As well as a way to create intricate and beautiful designs, embroidery is a great way to improve dexterity, keep your mind agile and practice mindfulness! Not to mention, you’ll have some stunning décor and embellishments to show off to family and friends!
Ashleigh, PR and Outreach Executive at Crafter’s Companion, is going to turn her attention to soft crafts for 2020! Whether you fancy getting cosy with quilting or showing off your creative side with hand-made bags and accessories the world of soft crafts offers endless possibilities!
New Year New Craft throughout January
For every week throughout January we’ll be introducing you to a new craft, from sumptuous soft crafts to papercraft perfection, so keep your eyes peeled!
We hope this has inspired you to pick up a new hobby, learn a new skill and begin the New Year with a New Craft!
